Pianobar is Andrew’s first love and he continues to tour the hottest, liveliest rock’n rolling bars worldwide. His piano style is rock/pop and his voice is like Elton John. Andrew talks to his audience and really gets them involved in the show. He has played all over Europe including Norway, the home of up-front pianobar, as well as the dueling pianobars of England. Andrew has also entertained tourists of just about every nationality in the Caribbean and Mediterranean resorts.

Andrew Oliver started piano lessons aged nine and joined the local church choir soon after. In his teenage years Andrew played piano, percussion and tuba and sang with many youth classical ensembles. With five years at music college, Andrew added composition, songwriting and arranging to his developing performing skills. After college he joined various top forty bands and toured cabaret venues, nightclubs and theatres throughout the UK. Later, Andrew became Musical Director for many theatre shows, musicals and cabarets before developing his own act.

Whilst auditioning for pianobar work Andrew was advised to polish his Elton John material and produce a tribute show. Now in his 17th year with the show, Andrew has performed at theatre shows, cabarets and corporate entertainments from Singapore to Spain and Cape Town to Cairo.

Andrew is also an accomplished songwriter with many publish songs to his credit and a new album: A Musical Life  now available.

Andrew not only plays upbeat pianobar style. He is also much in demand for the softer, laid-back style required in hotel lobbies, restaurants and weddings. Here he plays medleys of piano instrumentals with no vocals. He covers well known tunes from the jazz standards like 'Misty' to the pop evergreens such as 'Yesterday' with some film themes and showtunes to broaden his appeal.    He also plays popular classics from Bach and Beethoven etc.  Andrew often plays requests from memory or with a little notice can download the sheet music and play just about any popular melody his audience could wish for!
